Tuesday, 3 June, 2025Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Ackworth this morning (Tuesday, 3 June) which resulted in a pedestrian suffering serious injuries.Officers were called at 9:24am to a report of a collision involving a red Hyundai i10 and a pedestrian on Barnsley Road, Ackworth, near the BP petrol station.The pedestrian, a woman in her 70s, was taken to hospital where her injuries are described as potentially life-threatening.   Find out more:

Tuesday, 3 June, 2025Police are appealing for information after a driver left the scene of a collision leaving behind a seriously injured passenger.The collision occurred at around 3:50am on Sunday (1 June) on Wetherby Road, Oakwood, Leeds, near to the rear car park of Roundhay Park. It involved one vehicle, a silver Audi A1, which collided with a wall.The driver, who is understood to be male, was witnessed running away from the scene leaving a female passenger behind. Monday, 2 June, 2025A motorbike rider who was seriously injured in a collision on the M62 last Thursday (29 May) has died.The 51-year-old died in hospital over the weekend. His family are aware and are being offered specialist support.A 53-year-old man was arrested last Friday on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and is currently on bail. Friday 30 May 2025Police have renewed an appeal to try and find a man who was seriously assaulted in Huddersfield.The Huddersfield Town Centre Team are keen to trace the victim who was shown being attacked in Market Place in an incident which is believed to have occurred on Sunday 27 April.Officers have seen footage of the incident on social media and are keen to speak to the victim for an account of happened to help them investigate the offence. Thursday 29 May, 2025Police are appealing for witnesses after a car driver was assaulted and his vehicle damaged in an incident in Halifax.  Calderdale District Police would like to speak to witnessed or has footage of the incident which took place close to the roundabout on Thrum Hall Lane in Halifax on Friday May 16.  It took place at about 8pm after the male victim, who was driving a black Citroen car, got into an altercation with a woman and two males who had been verbally abusive to him.   Find out more:

Tuesday, 27 May 2025 Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Leeds which left a very young child in a critical condition.  It happened on Great North Road at about 12.04pm on Saturday, 24 May and involved a black Suzuki Alto and a grey Nissan Qashqai.  Three people were taken to hospital following the collision, which occurred at the Aberford Road junction. A six-month-old boy suffered injuries which are believed to be life-threatening.   Find out more:
